Place flour, salted butter, and hot water in a large bowl; mix well with a baking spoon. Then knead the dough by hand in the bowl until reasonably combined.
Remove the dough from the bowl, knead it by hand on a lightly floured surface until the dough is a smooth ball.
Place it back in the bowl and cover it with a damp kitchen towel, allowing the dough to rest for 15 minutes.
Now, divide the dough into pieces of more or less the same size. Roll each piece into a ball and cover them with plastic wrap. Leave them to rest for 10 minutes in the bowl.
Lightly flour your work surface and place a dough ball. Use your hands to flatten it a little bit.
Then, with a floured rolling pin, roll the dough into a thin, round tortilla.
Preheat a large cast-iron skillet or pan to medium/high.
Place the tortilla on the hot skillet and cook until you see some bubbles that start to brown on that side.
Flip the tortilla and continue cooking until it starts to puff up.
Place the tortillas in a kitchen towel to keep them warm and soft.
Finish all your tortillas, and you are ready for tacos.
